My full name is NICHOLAS STUART MARLOW and I am 47 years old living in Hong Kong. I was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, England in 1961 to Agnes and Humphrey Marlow at the Aldershot Military Hospital. During my wonderful childhood I lived for 4 years in Germany as my Father was serving in the British Army. The remainder of the time was spent in Aldershot before leaving home at 20 years old and buying my first house in Farnborough, Hampshire. I then proceeded to get married to a super girl called Michelle but ended up divorced in 1994. The divorce was very friendly and as there were no children it was nice and easy.

It was at that time I headed East to discover the charm and opportunities around South East Asia. I started in Sri Lanka and moved on though Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Vietnam and The Philippines before settling down in Hong Kong and China in 1995. Since then I have only been back to England 3-4 times and spend ALL of my time in and around Asia at 'Work and Play' which I really enjoy. My live in Hong Kong is complete with Juliet and our TWO daughters Nika and Nicole. Needless to say I have no plans to head back to England at any point in the future.

I have lived in HONG KONG since 1995 in a smaller town in the New Territories called Fanling. Fanling is very convenient for travelling to China, as the boarder is only 10 minutes by KCR Train. Hong Kong has an excellent Public Transport System and I can reach most parts of the Country in about an hour to an hour and a half. My Hong Kong Office is in Fo Tan which only half an hour by KCR Train towards Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Fanling town is not the bright lights and skyscrapers you Fanling town is not the bright lights and skyscrapers you may imagine of Hong Kong and in actual fact I live in a 3 story village house over looking the mountains bordering China

This area is called San Uk Tseun and it is a very small village just on the outskirts of Fanling. However it is only a ten minute walk to all the stores and food outlets you could want plus Nika and Nicole's’s School is located in the New Territories. I have lived in Fanling and even if I spent the first five years in a tower block until I discovered a better way of life in the Village Houses. However it is only a ten The style of Fanling with its Temples, Old Style Market Square and Modern Shopping Centers. The Local Bar are also special with few foreigners and many Hong Kong locals who have really made me feel welcome over the years. The air and general living environment is also much better in the New Territories than Hong Kong Island.

Who do I live with?

The Village House is only 750 square feet with a 750 square foot roof and has three bedrooms. One for Juliet and I, one for Nika and Nicole and the other is the Helper and Cat's Room. Lan-Lan is the Beautiful Cat who shares a room with the Helper Juliet 2. How cruel can one be? Lan-Lan is 10 years old now an extremely lovable cat and great company for the Girls and Juliet after a hectic day in Hong Kong or China. She also never gives me a problem for coming home late or even forgetting to come home at all, which is more than I can say for Juliet! I have always been a cat lover and when I was married in England had 8 cats but back there the house was much larger and I also had a large garden. One is fine now with the Girls, Buddies and fish but all jokes aside animals are good for children when they are growing up. Juliet does get fed up with her long grey hair and when she does not use the litter tray sometimes but we would not be without her. Even when she fell out of the 13th floor window of the old apartment on to the podium she recovered within the week however she no longer goes too close to the open windows.

What am I Interested in?

Due to the working lifestyle of Hong Kong 'FREE TIME' is hard to find as it is not unusual to work over 70-80 hours a week with very little holiday each year. However you could say that I make the most of my free time and still enjoy to Working Hard as well as Play Hard with quality time for Juliet and the girls. Juliet and I still like a GOOD night out with our friends in Wan Chai at least once a week plus a quieter night at the bars in Fanling. The weekend is for Nika and Nicole which I really enjoy the time we spend together especially as they get older and more responsive to their own directions. 

I like to spend time on developing and updating this HOMEPAGE but do not really know why but it can be interesting learning the skills and letting people get a good insight into my life in Hong Kong and what I am up too. I have also been developing  Universal's WEB-SITES.

I am sure I will end up retiring in one of my favorite Asian Countries when the time is right in terms if responsibilities and finances. When I was younger I wanted to retire at 45 years old but I think that 50 – 55 is more realistic with 40 years + already behind me. Thailand seem to be the right Location with Good Schools for the Girls and the right lifestyle for me. Also it is still in the region so I could still continue to support the businesses and keep active if not totally committed to 70-80 hours a week.
